What We Do: We accept birds from a diverse number of situations, from abusive or neglectfull homes to the most loving of shome who's life circumstances leave them unable to care for their companions any longer. Our passion and focus is to improve the lives of these wonderful loving creatures and their people families, and finding them a "forever home" is our reward. We have a small network of dedicated people who offer their time, energy, understanding and love to take these helpless creatures and make them the wonderful companion parrots that they were always meant to be. We quarantine and test all birds that come to us, provide any necessary veterinary assistance they need, make sure that they are on a healthy diet and then seek to rehabilitate the birds by determining any special needs they might have and what we can do to make their life better and prepare them for adoption to a "forever home". It is truly amazing how quick these wonderful creatures turn around with understanding, nurturing and loving care. |

| Birds On A Budget Bird Club |
Who We Are: Birds On A Budget Bird Club is a Not For Profit Club for bird enthusiasts in East Central Illinois. We hope to educate others about exotic bird care and behavior, establish a positive bond beween pets and their owners, and support the Feathered Friends Avian Rescue & Rehab. in its missions. Birds On A Budget members meet to share ideas, information and learn more about the exotic birds we love so much. We have meetings, go on field trips, use the message board all to gain insight of our feathered friends. We welcome new enthusiasts to join our group. To join ,all you need to do is fill out the application, submit it , and $15.00 for a single person or $25.00 for a family, for one years membership.. We require that all birds who attend be up to date on it's annual psittacosis test and that the test is negative Please, limit one bird to each adult and no children under 6 years of age. Our long wait for our own place is over, and it is going to be a great year. Hope to see you soon!!!!! |
